Bird Time!!

This year we decided to try meat birds as well as turkeys

                                          So we got 30 meat birds. Meat birds are like a small chicken that grows very fast. You only keep them for about 8-12 weeks. By then they will be about 6 pounds. We lost one the day after they came.

 

                                         And I decided to get 14 turkeys this year. I wasn't very happy that the guy mixed them together. I don't ever let chickens any were near my turkeys. And they only stayed together for a week. It made it easier on me to only have to run one heat lamp.
