Christmas Morning 2013

                                          AJ is getting harder and harder  to get for but you can't go wrong with a new TV to watch history on.  Devin wasn't happy he didn't get one.

Driveway

 

Here is a picture of the sign that Arron made last year to hang up at the end of the driveway

                                           I'm running out of room on my sign tree.  But it's the first thing you see when you pull in the driveway.

4 Chemistry Labs

Zack and Madison did 4 chemistry labs for a week or so but I'm just putting them together in one post.

 

                                          This one was about how blubber keeps animals warm

                                          He didn't look to happy to be doing this one

                                           Now Madison's turn

                                          Lab #2 was puffed rice

                                           Madison's balloon popped when she rubbed it on the rug

                                          Zack tried one of his show rugs but wasn't happy with the results

                                          Then when he thought he was being cute he figured out he was onto something

                                          Making the puffed rice stand up

                                           Now were getting somewere

                                          Zack liked A,J's head best of all

                                          Madison's hair got all tanged up

                                          Lab #3 was about finding out what other colors make up the color black

                                           Madison labeling hers and Zack getting ready to start his

                                          And you can see that the color blue was one of the colors that made up the #2 black marker he was testing

                                            Lab #4 Had to be their favorite. It was making a bag explode. Madison is watching Zack try his

                                          Now she is helping him with the last step.  (notice this is being done on the sunporch and not in my house)

                                          Bag #2 got bigger but didn't explode. Neither bags exploded. But I let them try one in the bathtub and it exploded every were.  They loved it.

Happy 12th Birthday Devin!!!!

 

So Devin turned 12 on Wednesday but he decided to wait till Saturday when we could go to FunSpot for his Birthday so that's what we did. 

                                           He and Madison thought it was the greatest thing to ride the bumper cars

                                          He almost dropped his tokens getting off the ride

                                          Not a good picture but if you saw them you couldn't miss them

                                          Finally I had all 3 in one spot ( Zack was at a friends for the weekend)

                                          Deciding if it's worth playing or not(they played it)

                                            I got them all into one photo

                                          So after token were gone and candy cups collected we went and had pizza( in all the years we've been going to FunSpot I didn't know they had pizza). We sang Happy Birthday to Devin when the pizza came.

                                          Once home we had cake (thankfully he is 12 that's all the candles I had)

                                          Arron  got the job of lighting them all

                                          After cake it was present time

                                          He wasn't very happy with the sweatshirt

                                          But loved the basketball.  Happy Birthday Devin!

10.)  We added meat birds and goats to the farm this year.
9.)    We raised our biggest turkey to date this year weighing in at 54 pounds.
8.)    Arron and A.J became certified leaders in Rifles through 4-H
7.)    Everyone worked hard to help fill all the freezers and pantry with things grown on The Little    Effing Farm
6.)   We processed our own meat birds, turkeys, and pigs this year.
5.)    Zack won first place for his giant pumpkin weighing 55 pounds and Madison won first place      with her giant sunflower through 4-H at the fairs.
4.)   A.J completed his 1st year of college
3.)   Devin came into our family
2.)   Zack got his first deer. Tagging out 15 minutes into youth hunting weekend.
1.)   We had a great time in Harrisburg, PA.

Time To Set Up The Christmas Tree

It took the kids awhile to bring in all the holiday tubs. And once they did Arron decided he was going to put lights up around the windows.  After get to the second window the rest of the lights on the string went dead. So he took them all down and put the lights up around the stair railings instead.

 

                                          It was at this point he found out the rest of the set was dead

                                          Because of the wood stove and how hot the loft gets we have to have a fake tree. So Arron is getting ready to set the tree up. Angel is watching to make sure he does it right.

                                           I couldn't figure out how to turn this one around but it's a picture of Madison's bedroom doorway.  She decided to make paper chains going across the whole thing.

                                          It always takes forever to do anything around here because of all the playing.

                                          I don't even want to know what he was thinking. I know he was suppost to be getting the garland unknotted so Devin could put it on the tree. Not sure were he went wrong.

                                          Angel decided she would sleep through the decorating part. So Zack covered her up with his blanket and she slept on the floor.

                                          Since we can't have a real tree upstairs. I had Zack go out and find a small little one we could put up downstairs.  It makes Charlie Brown's tree look great. But Zack is proud of it.
