Yard Clean Up

What else is there to do on a nice day but to clean up the yard. We worked in the back yard cleaning brush. Madison and I spent most of our time raking and hauling brush so Arron could cut the logs up. I didn't get any pictures of what it looked like when we finished today. We still have some more to clean up but got a lot of it done. We were hoping to get it done before the bugs came out. The pile of wood we got to stack from all the logs that are down
Madison and I were cleaning up an area near the driveway that we've never really cleaned since moving in. It was brush in it when we moved in and then we added more brush and logs to it and it grew. So our job was to get rid of it all.
Most of the trees and brush from the trees that we had cut two years ago.
Arron getting all dressed up to start cutting some brush. Since we had the chainsaw fixed it works great and he was able to get a lot cut up today.

Heating a House week #2

The kids are really enjoying the heating a house class. This week they got to see how insulation really helps keep the heat in. Zack and Joey adding the tin foil to their house

Biology

I signed Zack up for a Biology for this round of co-op. The first week we vistited the vet and then this week they started disecting their frogs. Zack didn't want to take the class but the teacher Jackie was great working with him.

Hip Hop or Ballet?

This is one of Madison's favorite stretches for Ballet

Madison signed up for a four week hip hop class to see what it's all about. I was hoping she might take to it and drop ballet. She had a real good time but still loves her ballet.

It's offical

Well it's offical Angel is part of the family. It never fails that one of our animals has a medical issue. When we lived in the park Ginger was attacked when she was four months old and ended up with a hole in her ear and needed to have a hole repaired in her side. Then there's Precious who kept getting attacked by a neighbors cat and needed four different surgery's. And then yesterday when the dogs were out in the yard running it seems Angel found a stick or I should say the stick found her. Zack was petting her when she came in the house and when he pulled his hand away it was covered in blood. She had a hole across her chest about 7 inches long. We ended up having to take her to the emergency vet because it was Sunday and no vet was open. After many stitches later she pulled through. Thankfully she didn't hit any organs. The vet believes it was a stick. She said it was a clean cut just really deep. She told us we should remove all the sticks from the yard. Like that's possible. So for the next week she has to wear a shirt so she can't get to the wick that she has in.

Poor Angel

Angel last week laying in the loft.
And then a picture of her laying under the table with her shirt on. She hates wearing it. Today she's feeling a little better. There were times when she wanted to run and play. But we couldn't let her for fear that she would rip open the stitches.

Herb Garden

This year I really want to get our herb garden growing. So today Madison started an inside herb garden. So now we sit back and wait to see them grow.

A.J's cooking again

A.J's girls are laying really well right now so we had a few extra dozen eggs in the refridgerator. So I had A.J try and make an Angel Food Cake. It came out so good. He did a really good job of it but isn't willing to make me another one any time soon.
