Last class

We were missing half of the kids for the last paper glider class so each kid that was there got to work on there own. Which was a nice change instead of working in groups. After they finished the task that Karen gave them they were able to try to shoot them off. They didn't all have the best of luck with that part. But it was another great class.

4-H Pets

Our 4-H group is finishing up a study on Pets. So we had a traveling vet come down and talk to the kids about her job. And when she was done talking to the kids she took them outside to show them what her van looked like inside. It was so cold outside listening to her talk.

Zack and Rosie

Those that know Zack knows that his new kick is rabbits. He's now raising Holland Lops and selling the babies. And this Sunday he went to his first rabbit show and his two Holland Lops did okay for their first show. His little doe got third place in the second show and his little buck got second place in the first show and fourth place in the second show. Stay tuned for Rosie's babbies next month.

NH History

Since our group has so many fourth graders this year we decided to do turn our monthly magazine into a NH topic each month and to take a bunch of field trip related to NH history to make it more fun for the kids. January's topic for magazine was Famous people of NH. So we went to the Christa McCauliffe Discovery Center. Of couse that tied into Christa McCauliffe and Alan Shepard. It was a great day. We all went out to pizza hut for lunch afterwards. Who said science, and history, had to be boring.
