Christmas Morning!

This year Christmas was very laid back for our family. Which for a change was really nice. After we opened gifts the kids headed to their rooms to go through their things while Arron and I stated dinner. It was just our family this year for dinner so we got to be a little more laid back with that. It was a nice slow paced day for a change.

Rubber Band Powered Cars

Our last science class before the holidays was another fun and exciting class. The kids worked in groups of three or four. And they had a series of challenges they had to face each we when they tested their cars. All they could use was rubber bands a big and small one, paper plates for the wheels big and small and the cardboard body.

Oliver Twist

Our school group did a play again this Vetan's day. The stage crew meets with the kids on Monday and assign them roles and on the rest of the week the kids learn the songs and lines. On Friday night we put the play on for family and friends. The kids liked it more this year than the one we did last year. Zack runs the lights for the whole show.

Homework

We are not a family use to sitting done after dinner and doing homework. This is something very new to us. So when the little kids started bring home homework we had to get use to it. So one day Mrs. M brings home a homework assignment to build a scarecrows head with a male figure in the household and then the next week go to school with the student and help the child build the rest of the scarecrow. Since Arron can't take time of after October he helped build the head with Mrs. M and A.J got to go to Headstart and help her finish it. He was a hit of school that day.
